BERLIN — The most dangerous place in European politics right now is between a German and their car. That’s been underlined yet again this week as Berlin threatens to derail the European Commission’s green transport agenda with a demand to make space for synthetic carbon-based fuels.Europe’s largest economy, and a growing list of allied countries, are fighting the Commission’s proposal to ban the sale of new polluting cars and vans from 2035. German politicians are leaning on EU policymakers to include a loophole for synthetically produced gasoline called e-fuel — which produces emissions at the tailpipe — alongside electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles. It’s an effort to secure a future for the internal combustion engine: the pride of German engineering and the national economy for more than a century. Switching to other technologies would unravel Germany’s competitive advantage built up over decades of refinement and expertise, putting hundreds of thou...GOP Leader McConnell remains in hospital after concussion

I do. I think the possibility of him coming out of retirement is definitely 100 percent in play. You can sit there and look at the kitten tweet from yesterday. Don’t buy that.“This isn’t me saying it,” added Zolak, who spent seven seasons with the Patriots and one season with the Dolphins. “This isn’t someone close to Brady. It started with Rich Eisen. By HANNA ARHIROVA and ELENA BECATOROS (Associated Press)KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — A barrage of more than 80 Russian missiles and a smaller number of exploding drones hit residential buildings and critical infrastructure across Ukraine on Thursday, killing six people and leaving hundreds of thousands without heat or electricity. The largest such attack in three weeks also put Europe’s largest nuclear plant at risk by knocking it off the power grid for hours before it was reconnected. Because nuclear plants need constant power to run cooling systems to avoid a meltdown, the latest threat to the Zaporizhzhia plant again raised the specter of a nuclear catastrophe.Air raid sirens wailed through the night as the attacks targeted a wide swath of the country, including western Ukraine, which is far from the front lines. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the assault that came while many people slept was an attempt by Moscow “to intimidate Ukrainians again.”The Russian Def...Don’t forget these 3 tax credits when filing this year
