Police in Seal Beach have concluded their investigation into the deaths of two people found inside a home Wednesday and have determined that the two were a son and his elderly disabled mother. The two were found around 8:30 a.m. at a home on the 600 block of Ocean Avenue.Police responded to the home after a caller from out of state reported that their brother was “having issues with their elderly mother.”Investigators have pieced together what led to the deaths and the incident appears likely to have been a murder-suicide.Police say the 65-year-old son was living with his 84-year-old mother at her home in Seal Beach. The elderly woman recently suffered a "temporary" medical emergency that required constant care and attention.Family members were apparently in the process of establishing in-home care, but the son was taking care of his mother in the meantime. Deputies were only in the area because another motorist was also stuck behind a locked gate and was able to call for help. Deputies arrived at the area to unlock the gate for that motorist, at which point they were informed that there were other vehicles stuck behind the gate.A deputy and a dispatcher searched the area for other vehicles when they noticed a faint ligh...California to become first state to offer health insurance to all undocumented adults

We’ve got a lot of issues in terms of staying in our shell,” Kerr said. “Too many holes in the shell on the weak side, back cuts, things like that. CLEVELAND (AP) — In a surreal moment seemingly clipped from a Disney movie, Joe Flacco stood on the field and posed for a family photo with his wife, Dana, and their five children as delirious Browns fans serenaded them with chants of “M-V-P, M-V-P.”Welcome to Cleveland.Or in Flacco’s case, Dreamland.Another chapter was added to the NFL’s most improbable story of 2023 Thursday night when Flacco, who stayed in shape in the offseason by throwing passes to his brother, Tom, in New Jersey while waiting — and wondering — if a team would call, led the Browns into the playoffs for just the third time since 1999.That’s right, with a 37-20 win over the New York Jets, the Browns (11-5) clinched a postseason spot while riding the rifle arm of a 38-year-old quarterback who spent most of his career beating them with rival Baltimore. This wasn’t in the script, so to speak. But then again, little has gone as planned in Cleveland this season. The Browns haven’t let signi...Latest news
