NEW YORK (AP) — Former President Donald Trump is facing multiple charges of falsifying business records, including at least one felony offense, in the indictment handed down by a Manhattan grand jury, two people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press on Friday. He will be formally arrested and arraigned Tuesday in his hush money case, setting the scene for the historic, shocking moment when a former president is forced to stand before a judge to hear the criminal charges against him.The indictment remained sealed and the specific charges were not immediately known, but details were confirmed by people who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss information that isn’t yet public. The streets outside the courthouse where the arraignment will unfold were calm Friday compared with earlier in the week. There were no large-scale demonstrations for or against Trump, though tourists stopped to take selfies and throngs of reporters and police officers remained as...Fire crews battle blaze that burned multiple homes in Lynn

Firefighters battled a stubborn multi-alarm blaze in Lynn on Friday afternoon that left several vehicles torched and multiple homes damaged. Crews responding to a reported structure fire at 109 Chestnut St. found heavy smoke and flames coming from the multi-family home, a Lynn fire official said.SKY7-HD was overhead as firefighters used ladder trucks to put out flames that had burned through what appeared to be a box truck and a car. Both vehicles were tucked between two multistory homes that suffered serious damage. The sides of both buildings facing the vehicles were visibly charred, with heavy smoke coming from their interiors.https://twitter.com/LynnFireDept/status/1641871858558459907A tree next to one of the buildings also caught fire as dozens of Lynn FD personnel aimed water into the upper-levels of each structure.Officials at the scene told 7NEWS that all residents from both structures had been accounted for as crews continued to spray down the area into the evening. Voters in New Hampshire who spoke with 7NEWS on Friday said they weren’t swayed one way or the other after news of former President Donald Trump’s indictment spread. Those who support him said they’d still back the former president.Frank Licata, who campaigned for Trump in 2015 and 2016, said he’s seen the former president overcome controversy in the past. “Every time something came up, whether it was the Access Hollywood tapes or whether it was any kind of blooper he said out of his mouth, it didn’t hurt him at all. People will say, ‘Oh, wow, he’s done now,’ but then no, it just made Teflon Don more strong,” he said. New Hampshire voter Frank Quinn said the indictment would have no impact on his decision of who to vote for in 2024.Another voter said, “I think that the people who are on his side are going to side with him once they charge him. It’s going to make him more popular than he even is now in their eyes...Rain into tomorrow, storms possible

7Weather – Rain is here. Showers will be off and on over the next 24 hours. There’s a potential for thunderstorms tomorrow evening. We dry out Sunday with a cool wind. The wet and stormy weather will be from a system creating a severe weather outbreak across the middle of the country. The storm will be much weaker as it reaches our area. It’ll still have some energy so there’s a chance for thunderstorms late tomorrow evening (7-10 pm). The Storm Prediction Center highlights a slight chance for scattered severe storms in yellow. Although the greatest chance for stronger storms will mainly be for western Mass including the Berks and Litchfield Hills. Tomorrow evening, wind will be the biggest threat. There’s a risk for heavy rain and hail too. The chance for a tornado is low, but not zero, because there’s a lot of energy above us in the clouds with this system. This would mainly be for western Mass, because the storm will continue to weaken as it sp...With guidance from Kenley Jansen, Zack Kelly ready to learn from shaky Opening Day

When Corey Kluber loaded the bases in the top of the fourth on Red Sox Opening Day, it was a bit surprising to see who was on the receiving end of the call to the bullpen.Rather than go to one of his many veteran options, Alex Cora brought in rookie reliever Zack Kelly. The 28-year-old righty debuted last Aug. 29 and made 13 appearances for the big-league club. In 11 of his games, he entered at the start of a frame; only once did he face a bases-loaded situation. In a bit of an ironic twist, that, too, was an Orioles game. On that late September night, he gave up back-to-back singles to score two of the inherited runners, then got three quick outs.In two-thirds of an inning on Thursday, Kelly struck out two and didn’t allow a hit, but walked two and had a wild pitch. Twelve of his 22 pitches were for strikes. As with that first bases-loaded jam last fall, two of the three inherited runners scored. After the game, he offered an honest self-assessment.“I was kind of frustra...Revolution midfielder, Arlington native Noel Buck is making an impact

The New England Revolution are off to their best start since 2005 and midfielder Noel Buck has his footprints all over it.Buck, a 17-year-old homegrown player from Arlington, looks to make his sixth consecutive start when the Revolution (4-1-0) host ever dangerous New York City FC (2-2-1) in a signature Eastern Conference clash on Saturday night (7:30) at Gillette Stadium.“He is a little bit ahead of schedule, he has done a real good job,” said Revolution sporting director and head coach Bruce Arena. “There is nothing that his keeping him off (the pitch), he is playing a good solid game for us.“He is in every game but he has not played 90 minutes every game. He has been good and very reliable defensively. He has been in possession and he has helped us create chances in the attack. He has been pretty well rounded in his game.”Buck made the jump from the Revolution Academy to Revolution II in short order before joining the parent club in 2022. Last season he appeared in seven MLS game...Ticker: Many electric vehicles to lose big tax credit; Stocks rally to cap a winning month

Fewer new electric vehicles will qualify for a full $7,500 federal tax credit later this year, and many will get only half that, under rules proposed Friday by the U.S. Treasury Department. The rules, required under last year’s Inflation Reduction Act, are likely to slow consumer acceptance of electric vehicles and could delay President Joe Biden’s ambitious goal that half of new passenger vehicles sold in the U.S. run on electricity by 2030.The new rules take effect April 18 and are aimed at reducing U.S. dependence on China and other countries for battery supply chains for electric vehicles.Electric vehicles now cost an average of more than $58,000, according to Kelley Blue Book, a price that’s beyond the reach of many U.S. households. The tax credits are designed to bring prices down and attract more buyers. But $3,750, half the full credit, may not be enough to entice them away from less-costly gasoline-powered vehicles.Stocks rally to cap a winning monthStocks rallie...Probe of deadly Black Hawk crash begins as Army IDs victims

NEW YORK (AP) — A self-styled far-right propagandist from Florida was convicted Friday of charges alleging that he conspired to deprive individuals of their right to vote in the 2016 presidential election.Douglass Mackey, 33, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was convicted in Brooklyn federal court before Judge Ann M. Donnelly after a one-week trial. Some politicians have tried

WASHINGTON (AP) — A celebrity and insatiable publicity hound long before he was president, Donald Trump has been photographed countless times. But never like this. Now that a New York grand jury has voted to indict him for his role in the payment of hush money to a porn actor, Trump will have to appear at district attorney headquarters in Manhattan to be booked, fingerprinted and get a mug shot taken. The former president, the first ever to be indicted, is expected to surrender to authorities early next week.New York law discourages the release of mug shots in most cases, though they have leaked in the past. Less clear is whether Trump would seek to have the picture released himself, for political or other reasons. Within minutes of word of his indictment breaking, his 2024 presidential campaign was sending fundraising messages off the news. Some Trump aides have floated the idea of holding a post-booking press conference — a political trail blazed by Texas Gov. Rick Perry when he s...Latest news
