Motorcycle Crash on Freeway 55 Claimed the Life of RiderCOSTA MESA, CA (September 8, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, Alondra Cobian lost her life in a motorcycle crash on the 55 Freeway.The accident happened on August 12th, at around 2:19 p.m., along the 55 Freeway in Costa Mesa under the northbound Interstate 405 HOV lanes.According to reports, the Cobian was riding her Yamaha motorcycle along the freeway when she collided with a tan Toyota Camry and a white Ford Ranger. She was said to be splitting lanes at the time.Emergency personnel arrived at the site of the collision shortly after. After initial assessments, medics pronounced 24-year-old Alondra Cobaian dead at the scene.No other information is currently available about the motorcycle crash on 55 Freeway. SAN MATEO — A man was arrested Thursday after a hit-and-run collision in San Mateo left a pedestrian in critical condition, according to authorities.Police received a report of a hit-and-run at 4:57 p.m. at the intersection of East Hillsdale Boulevard and Curtiss Street, just a few residential blocks from the Hillsdale Shopping Center. Responding officers found a 41-year-old man with multiple injuries, authorities said.Witnesses described the suspect vehicle, a white Toyota Tacoma, and gave officers the truck’s license plate number. The truck was spotted driving north on El Camino Real just moments later.
